Mrs. Sue Aufermann
This will be my 19th year at St. Lawrence out of 30 years in education. I am a graduate of St. Vivian School, Oldenburg Academy {IN), and St. Louis University. I taught in Missouri, Illinois and Ohio for 10+ years of special education and regular education from preschool to 9th grade. When my third child began kindergarten here, I was thrilled to begin working at St. Lawrence as a teacher aide for students with special needs and to be with my children. It is a joy to be able to work and live out my Catholic faith in this environment. My husband and I are professed Secular Franciscans and are active in the parish through Scouts and Knights of Columbus. Recently we became guardians to a ten year old. That has brought another dimension to our lives. I understand why Sarah laughed! God’s plans are not always our plans. But we trust that He walks with us. I work with students who are getting baptized and receiving the sacraments outside of second grade and seventh and eighth grade and have helped with the RCIA program.
